Tera Yaar Hoon Principal (transl. I am your friend) is an Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama television serial, produced past Shashi Mittal and Sumeet Hukamchand Mittal under the banner Shashi Sumeet Productions.[i] It premiered on Sony SAB from 31 Baronial 2020 to 29 January 2022.[2] [iii] Information technology starred Sudeep Sahir, Sayantani Ghosh, Ansh Sinha and Shweta Gulati in lead roles.

Rajeev Bansal, a simpleton bank managing director, lives in Jaipur with his loving and caring family; comprising of his married woman Jhanvi, children Trishala and Rishabh, parents Pratap and Sushma, brother Rajan, sister-in-law Ruchi, and nephew Varun. Rishabh is a moody, spirited, and cool mod-generation teenager who shares a close bail with Jhanvi and confides all his special moments with her but doesn't have the same rapport with Rajeev. Thus, Rajeev desires to erase the age gap between him and Rishabh and go a close friend and confidant to him. Rishabh finds his father'due south efforts to befriend him slightly childish, but an adamant Rajeev eventually succeeds in befriending his son.

One time, Rajeev and Jhanvi are talking to each other on phone while Jhanvi is driving. Due to this, Jhanvi doesn't see a pedestrian in front of her car and immediately turns her motorcar equally she notices him. The pedestrian survives but Jhanvi accidentally hits another automobile. Both she and the man in the other car dice in this tragic blow.

Rajeev has lost interest in his life due to Jhanvi's expiry. A new Punjabi senior manager named Daljeet Bagga joins his banking concern who had lost her husband, Ravinder, in a car accident. Still, Daljeet is a kind and soft person from inside. Rajeev feels sympathy for her when a night side of her life is revealed that Shakti, Ravinder's selfish and evil younger blood brother, is trying to snatch Daljeet's children, Balwinder "Barry" and Twinkle, from her in the court as they are the heirs to Ravinder's property. Rajeev learns that Daljeet'southward husband was the other person who died in Jhanvi's accident. Shocked and guilt-ridden, he marries Daljeet in the court to protect her children. She wins Barry and Twinkle's custody but Rajeev's family opposes Rajeev and Daljeet'south relationship, unaware that their marriage is only a fake contract. Rishabh and Barry remain at loggerheads and get great rivals. Shakti repeatedly attempts to separate Rajeev and Daljeet but fails. After much problem, Daljeet makes a place for herself in the Bansal family and is accepted by everyone except Rajeev'due south children.

Barry initially hated Rajeev and cared about Shakti, simply Shakti's true colours are before long revealed. Barry so starts liking Rajeev and afterward accepts him as his father, to Rishabh's dismay. Shakti further tries to impale Daljeet in the hospital past cut her oxygen supply, bringing her on the verge of expiry. A devastated Rajeev rushes to the hospital, hugs Daljeet and breaks into tears. Miraculously, she opens her optics and later makes a total recovery. The fright of losing Daljeet makes Rajeev realise that he is in love with her. Daljeet forgives Rajeev after witnessing his repentance and learning almost the care he showed for her in the infirmary. After several challenges, Rajeev musters the courage and confesses his love to Daljeet, which makes her overjoyed as she hugs him and accepts his heartfelt proposal. Rajeev and Daljeet confront several obstacles which threaten to destroy their relationship but they defeat them together. Eventually, they become married in a 1000 ceremony.

Withal, the happiness is curt-lived. Barry suffers a astringent caput injury in a fight with Rishabh and loses the memory of the previous twelvemonth, and likewise forgets about Rajeev and Daljeet's marriage. Development [edit]

Initially, Ami Trivedi was cast equally Jhanvi Bansal, the female person lead (Rajeev's wife). Notwithstanding, Trivedi opted out due to the COVID-19 pandemic and thus Shweta Gulati was approached and locked past the makers to portray Jhanvi.[15] [16]

Sony SAB unveiled the show's commencement teaser in April 2020.[1] On 25 July 2020, an official promo was unveiled which announced that the show would appear from the Baronial.[19] Another promo was unveiled on 21 August 2020, announcing the release engagement.[20]

The show went off-air on 29 January 2022 due to low TRP ratings, completing 378 episodes afterwards a successful run of 2 years.[3] [21]
